We built Emerald Street Coffee for the people who make this neighborhood feel like home.

Emerald Street Coffee is more than a business for us. It’s our way of connecting with our neighbors, investing in our block, and sharing something we truly love.

We’re Jon and Kylie, a husband and wife team who’ve called Kensington home for over five years.

This neighborhood has been the backdrop to so many of our milestones: we got married here, built our businesses here, and poured our energy into renovating homes here.

Earlier this year, we bought a bright green, abandoned building on the corner of Emerald and Huntingdon Streets. At first, we planned to renovate it and rent it out. But as we worked on the space, we realized we didn’t want to hand it off to someone else’s vision. Our dream had always been to create something together, and this was our chance.

That’s how Emerald Street Coffee was born – a simple, friendly coffee pickup window built for quick service and everyday connection. Whether you’re on your way to the subway, walking your dog, or just in the mood for a good cup, we’re here to make your stop worth it.

“I always assumed making pasta from scratch was too advanced. But once I learned, I couldn’t stop. I don’t think I’ll ever go back to store-bought pasta.”
